Space Trash Original story by Aislinn Scofield, Adapted by Andrés Rojo 3-minute 3D animation at 720 x 480 in a space western genre primary audience is art directors that may need my animation services, secondary audience animation festivals and student animation contests. Treatment: The ultimate garbage eater creature becomes a metaphor for the promises and curses that toying with the genetic code may brig to us all. Or curiosity killed the cat. Overview: Two aliens in an old space trash vehicle make a routine stop by Earth (between the moon and earth) to pick up the debris and clean the atmosphere. They locate a metal box with a red button. They pull the box into the ship and they decide to press the button. A green glob comes out of the box, and they find a huge diamond inside the box. They discover that the green thing is alive and that eats trash, and they start to feed it lots of trash. The green thing eats all the trash, and then eats the whole ship too, and then it goes inside its original box and burps a baby box with a cute little red button. Characters Jero-o – Fat tough big alien Mon-o – Skinny little green alien The green thing inside the red button canister – fosforecent green glop ACT I. 1. Ordinary World Two aliens roam the galaxies picking up garbage from the atmosphere of different planets. They come to Earth to do their pick-up. They travel in a lumpy spaceship with different holds for the different materials they collect. They are Universe Employees taking the garbage to another planet for sorting, recycling, and landfill. 2. Call to Adventure They pick-up the garbage chatting to each other, complaining about their work when they come upon a mysterious container with a huge Red Button on the side and a strange sign on the side. ACT II 3. Tests, Allies, Enemies They check out the box and look at it more closely. They bring a device and test it for danger and it seems to be ok.4. Approach to Inmost Cave They keep walking around it, and then start touching it gingerly, and then handle it turning it around and around. They start to scheme about the contents and speculate that it has valuable material that is worth a lot of money. Crisis 5. Supreme Fake Ordeal They finally push the button and a goopy substance oozes out of the container 6. Reward A huge diamond is inside the box, and even better, the goop is alive and eats trash. They think that they found the solution for the space trash problem. And even better make diamonds out of the trash ACT III 7. The Road Back They imagine themselves coming back to their planet, and becoming very rich. 8. Climax The Goop eats everything away all.9. Complete the circle The canister suddenly generates a progenitor. Tech path: |
